C'est avec un grand enthousiasme que la pilote Geneviève Lesieur nous annonçait récemment qu'elle entreprendra la saison de course 2009 au niveau professionnel. Ayant cumulé podiums et honneurs au fil des dernières années, démontré constance et persévérance, la pilote se sent prête à relever ce nouveau défi en devenant l'une des deux seules femmes à compétitionner à ce niveau au Canada.
Nous lui avons demandé de quelle façon elle entrevoyait la prochaine saison: « Je n'ai aucun objectif de classement. Le seul but pour moi sera de m'améliorer personnellement, de pousser mes limites sur chaque piste. C'est en roulant avec les meilleurs que l'on évolue le plus! J'ai toujours soif d'apprendre et c'est pourquoi, même si l'année ne sera pas facile, je suis confiante de tirer profit de cette expérience, d'avoir du plaisir en piste et de bien représenter les gens qui m'appuient. » Lesieur, qui sera maintenant associée au numéro 28, prendra assurément part au Championnat National Parts Canada dans la catégorie Pro 600 sur une GSXR 600 Chainé Performance.
La pilote est présentement à la recherche de financement afin de participer au Women's Cup Challenge, où elle a obtenu un succès sans précédent en 2008, ainsi qu'à la série R.A.C.E au niveau régional. Elle pourra à nouveau compter sur l'appui majeur de Chainé Performance qui la suit maintenant depuis quatre ans.

NEW BEGINING FOR THE PILOT GENEVIEVE LESIEUR
It is with great enthusiasm that the pilot Genevieve Lesieur, recently announced that she will begin the 2009 racing season as a Professional racer. Having accumulated podiums and honors over the past years, demonstrated constancy and perseverance, Lesieur feels ready to face this new challenge by becoming one of the only two women to compete at that level in Canada.
We asked her what were her expectations for the next season: "I have no ranking goal. My only objectives so far are to improve myself and push my limits on each track. By being surrounded by the best racers, you have no choice but to get better at it! I’m always eager to learn and this is why, although the season will not be an easy one, I am confident to benefit from this experience, have fun on the track and represent well the people who support me. " Lesieur, which will now be associated to the number 28, will take part in the Parts Canada Championship in the Pro 600 class on her Chainé Performance/Sport Patoine GSXR600.
The pilot is currently looking for sponsorships in order to participate in the Women's Cup Challenge, where she obtained an unprecedent success in 2008, and in the R.A.C.E. regional series in Ontario. She can once again rely on the outstanding support of Chainé Performance for a fourth year in a row.
