La course de dimanche a attiré un nombre impressionnant de spectateurs. Avec une grille imposante et sous une chaleur accablante, Lesieur a eu un excellent départ mais elle a dû se contenter d'une 8e place au fil d'arrivée: «J'ai comme toujours pris une bonne position dès le début, mais plus la course avançait, plus mon pneu arrière glissait, à tel point que j'ai bien failli m'éjecter à quelques reprises, et ce, même si j'étais très tendre sur l'accélérateur. Je n'ai donc pas pu maintenir la cadence voulue.» Lesieur se disait déçue sans toutefois oublier qu'elle avait tout de même très bien performé.
Fin de semaine exigeante pour la pilote qui prenait également part à la 4e manche du Championnat féminin Women's Cup Challenge. Au 3e rang lors des qualifications, elle talonnait la pilote professionnelle Marie-Josée Boucher dès le départ: «La moto allait très bien et nous avions remédié au problème de glissement avec le changement de pneus... Je m'apprêtais à dépasser mon adversaire lorsque la chute d'une autre pilote a causé un drapeau rouge... Quel désappointement! En attendant dans les puits, l'équipe de Marie-Josée en a évidemment profité pour lui faire part de ma stratégie... »
Un nouveau départ a été donné, mais la course est écourtée à 4 tours: «J'ai malheureusement manqué un changement de vitesse au début de la course, ce qui a permis à Boucher de me dépasser même si j'avais eu un meilleur départ. Elle était un peu plus lente que moi et a donc utilisé une ligne très intérieure rendant les dépassements excessivement difficiles, d'autant plus que je ne bénéficiais que de 3 tours pour prendre l'avantage... Je termine à .162 millième de seconde derrière elle. Il y a toujours une part de chance et de circonstances dans les courses, ça finira par tourner en ma faveur! » lançait Lesieur qui disait avoir eu bien du plaisir dans cette course stimulante.
Geneviève termine donc la saison du championnat National Parts Canada au 8e rang du classement général sur 54 coureurs qualifiés. Félicitations à elle et toute son équipe qui ont travaillé d'arrache-pied toute la saison!
La saison n'est par contre pas terminée puisque 2 manches du championnat féminin et 2 manches du Régional mixte (R.A.C.E, Shannonville) sont à disputer à la fin du mois de septembre. Les bons résultats de la pilote au niveau féminin lui ont permis de se glisser au 2e rang du classement général, et ce, malgré une chute qui lui a enlevé des points importants lors de la première manche.

At Shannonville, Geneviève Lesieur took part in the last round of the Parts Canada National Championship. In the Amateur 600 (mixed) class, in which no fewer than 47 riders were attending, Lesieur obtained her best result in qualifications in this championship with a 6th place on the starting grid.
The sunday race attracted an impressive number of spectators. With an impressive grid and in an overwhelming heat, Lesieur got an excellent start but had to settle for an 8th place at the finish line: "As usual I have set myself in a good position right from the start, but as the race was progressing, my rear tire slipped, to a point that I almost highsided a few times, even if I was very easy on the throttle. I could not maintain the desired pace. "Even if Lesieur said she was disappointed, she remain very satisfied with her overall performance.
A very demanding weekend for the rider who also took part in the 4th round of the Women's Cup Challenge Championship. With a 3rd place in qualifications, she was pushing hard on the pro pilot Marie-Josee Boucher right from the start: "The bike went very well and we remedied the problem with the shift of tires... I was about to pass my opponent when the crash of another pilot caused a red flag... What a disappointment! Waiting in the hotpits, the team of Marie-Josee has obviously taken the opportunity to tell her my strategy... "

The season is not over yet as of 2 races Women's championship and 2 rounds of the Regional joint (RACE, Shannonville) are to be held at the end of September. Her results allowed her to get in the 2nd spot in the overall standings in the Womens class, despite a crash that cost her important points during the first round.
